about the site

Tokyo Babylon is easily my favorite series by CLAMP, and has held this distinction since I first read it in 2009. While the relationship between Subaru and Seishirou immediately captivated me, it's the themes of the series that have kept me coming back to it time and time again over the years. I love how Tokyo itself is a character in the work, how it's made clear that Subaru and Seishirou are part of a greater whole, and the ultimate theme that one heart cannot truly know another. The site is named for my favorite quote in the story, to encapsulate that theme.

I wanted to ensure that I got all three leads in the layout; Seishirou and Subaru often take much of the spotlight, but Hokuto is equally important in Tokyo Babylon's story and I couldn't leave her out. The background pattern is by dinpattern.
