Fullmetal Alchemist is a series that's very dear to me, and has been since I saw it as a kid. There's a lot I love about the series — the characters, the plot, alchemy, and so on — but at the end of the day, my favorite thing about the series is the bond between Ed and Al. They're the backbone of the series. Their bond is often understated, but it's always present, no matter how high the stakes get. There's a reason that the story centers on them.
